What happened: He said he felt more comfortable as the game progressed during a preseason win. Noah Warren and Coach Q also spoke after the result, keeping the focus on how the night developed on the ice.

Why it matters: That matters in October because preseason evaluation turns on whether young players adjust over the course of games, not just the final score. What to watch: The next preseason outings will show whether that in-game comfort carries over into bigger minutes. Roster decisions and opening-night roles are the next checkpoints.
