What happened: Cutter Gauthier and Leo Carlsson handled the ceremonial first pitches before Saturday's Ducks Night game in Anaheim. The appearance extended a week of Ducks-Angels crossover events around the ballpark.

Why it matters: The stop kept the Ducks in front of local fans a few days before training camp opens Thursday at Great Park Ice. It also followed Gauthier's six-year, $81 million extension, which runs through 2031-32.

What to watch: The Ducks' next public milestone is Thursday's opening of training camp at Great Park Ice.
