What happened: Rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate reached the end zone for the first touchdown of his NFL career on Sunday, pulling the regular-season contest between TEN and IND even. The game-tying grab followed a high-point catch by Tate earlier in the matchup.

Why it matters: Finding the end zone adds scoring production to an active opening stretch for the rookie wideout, who previously posted a 145-yard breakout in Week 4. He has continued to produce downfield after appearing on the Oct. 8 injury report with a back issue while working to help snap a recent losing skid.

By the numbers: 2026 season notes: Selected No. 4 overall in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft; 145 receiving yards in Week 4; 6-for-6 on contested targets as of Oct. 6; 1st career NFL touchdown on Oct. 18.

What to watch: Tate will look to build on his game-tying score through the remainder of Sunday's TEN-IND contest and into next week's regular-season slate.
