What happened: MLB Trade Rumors listed Shea Langeliers on Sunday as an offseason trade candidate while the 2026 MLB postseason is underway. The move revives market chatter around Langeliers after a torn meniscus diagnosed in late July threatened the remainder of his 2026 campaign.

Why it matters: A thinning market for right-handed bats ahead of the July 30 deadline had positioned Langeliers as a midseason offensive target before the knee injury intervened. Front offices seeking right-handed power now have an offseason window to revisit trade talks ahead of the upcoming season.

What to watch: Interested clubs will evaluate Langeliers' medical clearance from the July meniscus injury as winter trade discussions open following the postseason.
