What happened: Carrigg went 4-for-5 for Colorado, turning in his first career four-hit game, first multi-homer game and first five-RBI game in the same night. One of the home runs came at the end of a 13-pitch plate appearance, adding a marathon at-bat to the breakout line.

Why it matters: The outburst gives Colorado a rare one-player jolt across contact, power and run production in a single game. It also adds to the recent turn for Carrigg after his return to the Rockies' starting lineup, strengthening his case for regular at-bats down the stretch.

What to watch: Watch whether Colorado keeps Carrigg in an everyday role after the breakout. His next few games will show whether this was a one-night spike or the start of a larger September push.
