What happened: Texas Tech will start quarterback Thomas Castellanos on Saturday against No. 22 Arizona, per ESPN. Castellanos is slated to share reps with Will Hammond, with both quarterbacks expected to see action behind center.

Why it matters: Castellanos previously missed time after an eligibility injunction dissolved ahead of the Red Raiders' Oct. 2 matchup at Colorado. Settling the position is critical for Texas Tech as the program navigates the second half of the regular season against a ranked conference opponent.

What to watch: Texas Tech faces No. 22 Arizona on Saturday, where the opening possessions will reveal the snap distribution between Castellanos and Hammond.
