What happened: Anthony Colandrea has finalized an agreement to remain with the Nebraska Cornhuskers through the 2027 college football season. The commitment formalizes a prior arrangement keeping the starting quarterback in Lincoln. Pete Nakos confirmed the transaction as Nebraska locks in its primary offensive leader.

Why it matters: Securing Colandrea avoids late-offseason roster turnover at the most critical position on the roster. The multi-year stability allows head coach Matt Rhule and his staff to focus recruiting and portal efforts around an established signal-caller.

What to watch: Nebraska next hosts the Washington Huskies on Saturday, October 31, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 PM ET.
