What happened: Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell threw out the ceremonial first pitch in Cleveland prior to Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Thursday.

Why it matters: The cross-sport appearance keeps Mitchell visible in the Cleveland market as he enters his 10th NBA season following a multi-year Adidas extension signed earlier in October.

What to watch: Mitchell and the Cavaliers continue 2026-27 preseason preparations ahead of the regular-season opener.
