200 Ks for Cease ‼️ The first pitcher to strike out 200+ in SIX consecutive seasons since Max Scherzer (2012-19) and Ch Via @BlueJays on X

What happened: Dylan Cease recorded his 200th strikeout of the season, becoming the first pitcher to reach 200-plus strikeouts in six consecutive seasons since Max Scherzer and Chris Sale.

Why it matters: The feat puts Cease in company with two of the era's defining strikeout arms. Scherzer, who reached 3,500 career strikeouts, ran his streak from 2012-19, while Sale's covered 2013-19.

By the numbers: Scherzer's six-season 200-strikeout streak: 2012-2019. Sale's six-season 200-strikeout streak: 2013-2019.

What to watch: Watch whether Cease can push the streak to a seventh straight 200-strikeout season.
