What happened: Los Angeles also tagged Elijah Molden and Donte Jackson as questionable, with James (hamstring), Lance (groin), McConkey (foot), Molden (hamstring) and Jackson (concussion) on the final report. The Chargers ruled out left guard Kayode Awosika, tight end Charlie Kolar, wide receiver Brenen Thompson and defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson. Lance, James, Molden and McConkey were limited Friday, while Jackson and Keaton Mitchell practiced fully and Mitchell carried no injury designation.

Why it matters: James and McConkey are major pieces on defense and offense, and Lance's status matters for the quarterback depth chart with DJ Uiagalelei behind him. The four ruled-out players also leave Los Angeles thinner at guard, tight end, receiver and defensive tackle heading into Week 4.

By the numbers: Five Chargers are listed as questionable and four are ruled out on the final injury report. Jackson was the only questionable player who practiced fully Friday, while James, Lance, Molden and McConkey were limited.

What to watch: The next key update comes with the inactive list before kickoff. Lance's availability is the main depth-chart watch if the Chargers need to adjust behind the starter.
