What happened: The Los Angeles Chargers posted that their rookie group is underway during the offseason program. The update comes as the team moves through the quiet stretch before training camp and preseason roster competition.

Why it matters: Rookie development is a key offseason marker because depth roles and special-teams jobs are often shaped before camp opens. For Los Angeles, the next phase will determine which first-year players push for immediate snaps and which ones enter roster-bubble competition.

What to watch: Watch for training camp reps, preseason usage and any movement on the depth chart as rookies get their first extended NFL evaluation.
