What happened: The Los Angeles Chargers ruled out Deane Leonard, Kayode Awosika, and Brenen Thompson among four players for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Rams. Cornerback Donte Jackson and rookie Rodney Shelley are listed as questionable on Friday's official game status update.

Why it matters: Winless Los Angeles sits at 0-6 after dropping a 22-6 road decision to Kansas City before its bye week. Secondary depth faces immediate pressure with Jackson limited in practice by a hamstring issue, challenging a defense that relied on his four interceptions in 2025.

What to watch: Inactive lists will be announced 90 minutes prior to kickoff at SoFi Stadium. Jackson and Shelley will test their availability during pregame warmups.
