Chen gets right to the middle of the paint 🎨 She floats the ball up for her first points of the ball game LAS-GSV | NB

What happened: Chen got into the middle of the paint and lifted in a floater for her first points of the game during LAS-GSV in the 2026 WNBA Commissioner's Cup. The play came in a nationally carried Cup game on NBCSN and Peacock.

Why it matters: Any secondary scoring matters in Commissioner's Cup play, where designated regular-season games also shape the path to the championship game. A paint touch from a guard-sized creator can force defensive adjustments if it becomes part of the offense beyond one possession.

By the numbers: Chen: first points of the game on a floater in the paint. Game context: LAS-GSV, 2026 WNBA Commissioner's Cup.

What to watch: Watch whether Chen earns more on-ball chances and whether the paint touch becomes part of the second-half rotation.
