What happened: Robert Lewandowski threw out the ceremonial first pitch before Friday's playoff matchup. The veteran striker also met with Miguel Vargas during pregame warmups, where the two performed Lewandowski's signature goal celebration together.

Why it matters: The appearance highlights the crossover between Chicago's professional sports franchises during the MLB postseason. The same Robert Lewandowski who took the No. 9 shirt for the Fire earlier this year supported the local club during its playoff run.

What to watch: The American League Division Series continues as teams vie for a spot in the League Championship Series.
