What happened: Benson yielded a hurry to Rueben Bain Jr. and later a strip sack of Justin Fields in Saturday’s 16-15 loss to Tampa Bay. He recovered the fumble and tried to advance it.

Why it matters: Andy Reid said Benson was adjusting to a silent snap count during his first extended work with it. Kansas City signed Benson in May, and Eric Bieniemy said evaluation of the offensive line remains ongoing.

By the numbers: Benson allowed two pressures in 11 true pass sets and received a 33.4 pass-blocking grade from PFF.

What to watch: His technique and timing will be back under evaluation in Kansas City’s remaining preseason work.
