What happened: The New York Jets shifted focus to their upcoming Week 9 contest against Kansas City with kickoff preparations underway. The Chiefs enter the matchup seeking to halt a two-game slide following a road defeat in Denver.

Why it matters: Kansas City sits at 5-2 on the season, needing a rebound performance to maintain positioning in the AFC playoff race ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. Back-to-back losses have put pressure on the offense to stabilize before midseason roster decisions are finalized.

What to watch: The teams will release updated practice participation reports later in the week before finalizing game-day inactive lists.
