What happened: Fans heading to Saturday night's American League Championship Series matchup between the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays face football-like temperatures at the ballpark.

Why it matters: Cold October conditions in Cleveland regularly test pitching grip and ball carry during deep postseason runs after Gateway Plaza hosted watch parties for Game 3 of the ALCS. Drop-offs in evening temperatures can shift the advantage toward power pitchers willing to challenge hitters inside.

What to watch: First pitch between the Guardians and Rays is set for Saturday night as the ALCS continues in Cleveland.
