What happened: Postseason Game 3 began October 6 with Chris Sale listed as the starter. The broadcast continues on FS1 and FOX One after the opening half-inning.

Why it matters: Game 3 outcomes shift series leverage and shape rotation choices for the rest of the round. A deep start reduces early bullpen usage.

By the numbers: Sale secured his ninth career 200-strikeout season on Sept. 24.

What to watch: Watch his pitch count and how quickly the bullpen gets active behind him.
