What happened: Christian Kirk called his Monday night chance day by day and said he feels good. The practice window opening followed what Shanahan termed an amazing weekend.

Why it matters: Monday night availability shapes the active receiver group. A decision then locks in who dresses and who sits.

By the numbers: Drafted 47th overall in 2018 out of Texas A&M. In 2025 with Houston: 13 games, 28 receptions, 239 yards, 1 touchdown.

What to watch: The next gate is game status ahead of Monday night.
