What happened: Dalton Knecht is fielding two-way offers from multiple teams after the Lakers waived him Oct. 19. Walter Clayton Jr. cleared waivers Wednesday and committed to join Dallas.

Why it matters: Knecht offers outside shooting on a low-cost two-way slot as opening-week rosters settle. Dallas adds backcourt depth without using a standard roster spot.

What to watch: Knecht's two-way choice is next, with Dallas to formalize the Clayton addition.
