What happened: CMC took it in on the ground for the touchdown against Washington. The score moved San Francisco to a 13-3 advantage in the ESPN matchup.

Why it matters: 5-0 San Francisco entered the night protecting an unbeaten start ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline. An early two-score cushion gives the offense control and forces Washington into catch-up mode.

What to watch: Washington takes over needing an answer before the gap grows. San Francisco can press the 10-point edge with another stop.
