What happened: The 2026 Fielding Bible Awards recognized MLB's top defensive performers across each position for the 2026 campaign. Cody Bellinger captured his third career Fielding Bible Award as the league's premier defensive left fielder, while pitcher Tanner Bibee secured the second of his career and catcher Dillon Dingler collected his first.

Why it matters: Unlike the league-specific Gold Glove Awards, which named their 2026 finalists on October 15, the Fielding Bible Awards select a single MLB-wide winner at each defensive spot. Repeat hardware for Bellinger and Bibee reinforces their standing among the sport's elite defenders entering the offseason.

What to watch: Attention now shifts to the upcoming 2026 Gold Glove Award announcements and Game 1 of the World Series between the Brewers and Rays.
