What happened: Cody Bellinger won the Rawlings Platinum Glove, the first of his career. He joins Jose Trevino (2022) as the only Yankees to win it in the award's 16-year history.

Why it matters: The Platinum Glove goes to the top defender in each league, and Bellinger now holds a trophy only one other Yankee has won. It comes days after he took his third Fielding Bible Award as MLB's top defensive left fielder.

By the numbers: Platinum Gloves for Yankees: 2 (Trevino 2022, Bellinger 2026). Career Platinum Gloves for Bellinger: 1. Fielding Bible Awards for Bellinger: 3.

What to watch: Bellinger will look to defend the award in 2027.
