What happened: Schultz_Report reported Indianapolis is signing Lawson to its practice squad. Lawson played under Lou Anarumo in Cincinnati and has 32 sacks across eight seasons, including five with Dallas in 2024.

Why it matters: Indianapolis adds a veteran edge option already familiar with Anarumo's system. A practice-squad spot keeps the move low-cost during the regular season while leaving an elevation path open.

By the numbers: 32 career sacks across eight seasons; five sacks with Dallas in 2024.

What to watch: Watch whether Lawson earns an elevation to the active roster.
