What happened: The change came after Coach Steichen said no players had been ruled out for INDvsWAS. Indianapolis also elevated Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad as it reset the receiver group for Sunday.

Why it matters: Allen's absence removes a veteran target from the Colts' passing game and forces a late redistribution of receiver snaps. The timing leaves little runway for the offense to adjust before kickoff.

By the numbers: Allen caught 81 passes for 777 yards and four touchdowns in 17 games with the Chargers in 2025.

What to watch: Watch Sunday's inactive list and snap distribution at wide receiver. Allen's next practice status will be the next indicator for his availability beyond this week.
