What happened: Indianapolis traded defensive tackle DeForest Buckner and guard Quenton Nelson on Oct. 27. Nelson went to Seattle for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick. Schefter reported that the two deals signal the franchise's rebuild is underway.

Why it matters: Nelson, the No. 6 overall pick in 2018, carries an 85.7 PFF grade that ranks second among NFL guards. Both players were Pro Bowl-level starters, and the Colts took back mid-round picks rather than first-round capital.

What to watch: Indianapolis hosts the Cowboys in Week 9.
