What happened: Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen ruled out cornerback Sauce Gardner and tight end Tyler Warren for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, per Adam Schefter. Gardner was questionable to return with the calf injury last weekend and did not participate in Wednesday's practice following an MRI on Monday. Warren is sidelined by a groin injury after missing Thursday's practice session.

Why it matters: Indianapolis enters the matchup looking to snap a losing skid after falling to Tennessee last weekend, while Minnesota arrives on a winning streak following a victory at New Orleans. Losing both Gardner in the secondary and Warren at tight end depletes the Colts on both sides of the ball against one of the conference's top seeds.

What to watch: The Colts will adjust their defensive backfield and tight end rotation ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Vikings. Gardner and Warren will aim to return to the practice field next week.
