What happened: Columbus Crew will face St. Louis CITY SC in the Open Cup Final at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field on Oct. 21. The championship matchup was set after St. Louis advanced out of the semifinal round, and seats are already being offered for the final.

Why it matters: The final puts Columbus one home win from another trophy and gives St. Louis CITY SC a shot at the club's first Open Cup title. Hosting rights matter in a one-match final, especially with the date and venue now locked in more than a month ahead.

What to watch: Attention now shifts to roster availability and form heading into Oct. 21. The next key development will be how both clubs manage league matches before the final.
