What happened: Connor Hellebuyck's suspension is set to conclude on Friday, October 23, per Elliotte Friedman. The goaltender had previously informed the club of his intention to report ahead of the regular-season opener after being suspended in September for failing to report to training camp.

Why it matters: The end date establishes a formal timeline on a standoff that began with Hellebuyck's offseason trade request. Returning him to active status forces a roster and crease decision while rival clubs continue to gauge his trade market.

What to watch: Roster activation and trade discussions carry an October 23 deadline once the suspension lifts.
