What happened: Dallas added Mike Pettine to support Christian Parker. Pettine arrives after his Minnesota exit.

Why it matters: A defined chain of command matters with two experienced voices sharing duties. Defensive stability will shape whether Dallas climbs back in the division race.

By the numbers: Dallas is 2-3 with league-worst EPA per drive.

What to watch: Dallas continues preparation with the revised defensive hierarchy in place.
