What happened: Ed Werder, Nick Harris, and JJT examined the Dallas Cowboys' offensive struggles ahead of Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles on the latest Media Mash episode. The discussion covered Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer pushing back on outside criticism and the controversy surrounding Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts' injury status.

Why it matters: Schottenheimer is in his second season leading Dallas as owner Jerry Jones signals the club plans to buy rather than sell ahead of the Nov. 10 trade deadline. An NFC East matchup against Philadelphia tests whether the Cowboys can stabilize a sputtering offense against a division rival.

What to watch: Dallas and Philadelphia square off on Monday Night Football as both teams monitor Hurts' status leading up to kickoff.
