What happened: The Dallas Cowboys were the only NFL franchise to promote an assistant when Brian Schottenheimer was named a first-time head coach.

Why it matters: Schottenheimer continues to direct the organization. Dallas recently suffered a 24-16 final loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

What to watch: The Cowboys will attempt to rebound from the defeat in their next matchup.
