What happened: The Dallas Cowboys placed rookie linebacker Malachi Lawrence on injured reserve Saturday and activated outside linebacker Marist Liufau. Dallas also elevated wide receiver Jordan Hudson and tight end James Mitchell from the practice squad. Defensive tackle Jonathan Bullard remains on injured reserve and was ruled out for Sunday.

Why it matters: Liufau rejoins the active roster after missing time with a fractured forearm suffered in August. Lawrence, the club's 2026 first-round draft selection, heads to injured reserve with an ankle injury after appearing in eight games. The swap reshuffles Dallas' front seven rotation as the defense adjusts its second-level personnel.

What to watch: The Cowboys face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday looking to rebound from a 33-30 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
