What happened: Max Verstappen finished third and Isack Hadjar took sixth in Q1 to advance both Red Bull cars into Q2 at the São Paulo Grand Prix. Tricky wet conditions at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace prompted a red-flag stoppage during opening qualifying running.

Why it matters: The progression continues a consistent qualifying run for the team after Hadjar took P2 and Verstappen P10 in Mexico City GP Q1 last week. With Kimi Antonelli already having secured the 2026 drivers' championship, Red Bull enters the final rounds focused on locking down constructors' points.

What to watch: Both drivers now prepare for the second qualifying segment as weather conditions evolve in São Paulo.
