What happened: The Dallas Cowboys declared cornerback Joey Porter Jr. inactive due to an illness. The roster move was announced hours before the Thursday night kickoff.

Why it matters: The late scratch sidelined the recently acquired defensive back against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His absence removed a key coverage option from the secondary.

What to watch: The team will evaluate his health timeline as the schedule progresses.
