What happened: Pete Crow-Armstrong won the 2026 National League Platinum Glove, Rawlings announced. He is the first NL center fielder to win the award in its 16-year history, as Wire Report noted earlier.

Why it matters: The award goes to the best defender in each league, and center fielders in the NL had never taken it until now. It caps a season in which Crow-Armstrong drew repeated defensive praise.

What to watch: The next Platinum Glove winners will be named after the 2027 season.
