What happened: Dallas maintains there is still enough runway in the 2026 regular season to reverse course despite dropping four of its first six games. The latest setback arrived on October 18 in a 23-13 loss that extended the club's losing streak to two.

Why it matters: Managing only 13 points in that outing underscores how far the group has fallen from preseason expectations of fielding the franchise's greatest offense in 2026. Climbing out of the 12th spot in the standings requires consistent four-quarter execution that Dallas has yet to demonstrate this autumn.
