Sevo's been waiting a LONG time for this day! Hear more from him, his twin, Cam Talbot, and Rick Bowness ➡️ https://t. Via @BlueJacketsNHL on X

What happened: The Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman rejoins the active lineup for Friday's preseason contest. Severson, goaltender Cam Talbot, and head coach Rick Bowness spoke ahead of the game against Pittsburgh.

Why it matters: He underwent surgery last spring and missed the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign. His availability reinforces the blue line as Columbus evaluates its defensive pairings under Bowness.

What to watch: The Blue Jackets will finalize their 2026-27 roster preparations before the regular season begins.
