What happened: San Antonio Spurs guard De'Aaron Fox elevated for a dunk over Phoenix Suns forward Rasheer Fleming during 2026-27 NBA preseason action. Fox's latest preseason finish came on a half-court sequence operating through Victor Wembanyama as the offensive hub in the high post.

Why it matters: According to Jared Weiss, Fox's verticality marks a shift after he played mostly below the rim last season while dealing with a playoff injury. The sequence also demonstrates how San Antonio's slasher-heavy starting unit—which recently added Dylan Harper—can generate rim pressure by using Wembanyama as a high-post facilitator.

What to watch: San Antonio continues evaluating its multi-guard starting lineup rotation around Wembanyama through the remainder of the preseason schedule.
