What happened: Boston assistant GM Dennis Bonvie discussed the club's acquisition of JJ Peterka and its pro-scouting approach. Peterka is expected to fit in Boston's top six as the club prepares for 2026-27.

Why it matters: The deal is central to Boston's draft-weekend roster reshuffle. The Bruins used the No. 23 selection in 2026 and a conditional 2028 first-round pick to acquire Peterka.

By the numbers: Peterka scored 25 goals and 47 points in 82 games last season.

What to watch: Watch how Boston deploys Peterka in training camp and preseason line combinations.
