What happened: Devin Carter and Ron Harper Jr. will miss the upcoming preseason game against PHI. Carter is unavailable due to an illness, while Harper is sidelined by right shoulder soreness.

Why it matters: The absences temporarily pause evaluation opportunities for both players. Preseason contests are primarily utilized to condition personnel and finalize rotation combinations ahead of the regular campaign.

What to watch: Status updates for both players will dictate their availability for the remainder of the preseason schedule.
