RT @NFL: De'Von Achane is setting a goal for himself of leading the league in rushing this season 👀 (via @nflnetwork) ht Via @AdamSchefter on X

What happened: The running back set the benchmark during an NFL Network interview. His four-year, $64 million extension includes $32 million guaranteed and up to $4 million in incentives.

Why it matters: A rushing crown would build on his first 1,000-yard season and Pro Bowl selection in 2025. NFL Network analysts expect the offense to run through Achane in 2026.

By the numbers: Achane rushed for 1,350 yards and eight touchdowns in 2025, adding 67 catches for 488 yards and four receiving scores. Across his first three seasons, he averaged 1,019 rushing yards and 7.3 rushing touchdowns.

What to watch: His early-season workload will show whether the rushing-title target matches his role.
