What happened: PFF lists Devon Witherspoon with an 89.9 overall grade for 2025, first among 114 qualified cornerbacks. His 84.6 coverage grade ranked second in that group.

Why it matters: PFF also credited him with a 90.1 run-defense grade and a 92.9 pass-rush grade in its perimeter-cornerback evaluation. That range of impact makes the all-around CB1 case stronger than judging him solely by traditional coverage duties.
