What happened: The New England Patriots host the New York Jets at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday with both franchises fielding top-5 defenses in fewest yards allowed entering Week 6. Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta, and Aditi Kinkhabwala will call the CBS broadcast while Clete Blakeman serves as the assigned referee.

Why it matters: With New England holding a 4-4 record while averaging 20.0 points per game and New York sitting at 3-5 while scoring 16.5 points per outing, defensive execution dictates the terms for both AFC East clubs. The Patriots still have four players to declare inactive before kickoff as both units prepare for a low-scoring division test.
