What happened: DeWanna Bonner connected on a string of 3-pointers during pregame preparation prior to Saturday's championship series matchup.

Why it matters: Head coach Karl Smesko noted pregame that the perimeter shooting of the veteran who posted 16 points in the semifinal opener is designed to draw interior defenders out to the arc and unlock flexible lineup combinations.

By the numbers: Since Bonner debuted on Aug. 30, her club has compiled a 10-0 run to reach the WNBA Finals for the first time since 2013.

What to watch: Tipoff for the series opener between ATL and GSV is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
