What happened: Duke head coach Manny Diaz spoke directly with his players regarding external coaching rumors linking him to the Florida State opening. Diaz characterized the outside chatter as a cost of success stemming from the team's ongoing winning stretch. He dismissed the outside speculation as internet rumors and indicated he intends to remain with the program.

Why it matters: The direct address provides immediate stability for a program navigating midseason coaching speculation while maintaining positive momentum. Shutting down external distractions keeps the focus squarely on the remainder of the schedule. The clarification also removes a prominent name from Florida State's potential search.

What to watch: Duke continues its regular-season slate with Diaz remaining at the helm. Florida State continues its search for a permanent head coach.
