What happened: Kansas announced the signing of Purdue transfer Trey Kaufman-Renn. The move follows the same Trey Kaufman-Renn granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA in September as he pursues a sixth college season.

Why it matters: Kansas adds a 24-year-old forward to its 2026-27 preseason roster mix. The case tests college eligibility rules for a drafted player seeking an extra year.

What to watch: Next is a final eligibility decision and his availability for the season opener.
