What happened: Ottawa Senators forward Drake Batherson moved into sole possession of ninth place on the franchise's career goal-scoring list during Saturday's matchup against the Philadelphia Flyers. He eclipsed former Ottawa center Radek Bonk while Bonk watched from the stands.

Why it matters: The milestone cements Batherson's place among Ottawa's core offensive leaders early in the 2026-27 regular season. It follows a preseason in which Batherson signed a contract extension in September after seeking long-term security with the club.

What to watch: Batherson and the Senators continue their regular-season schedule as he pursues the next rung on Ottawa's all-time scoring leaderboard.
