What happened: Draymond Green said Dalton Knecht's voided trade derailed his standing with the Los Angeles Lakers. Green said Knecht showed promise and that his agent should have pursued an exit from Los Angeles after the deal fell through.

Why it matters: Los Angeles faces a roster decision with the opener approaching, leaving Knecht's role unresolved. A lost roster spot would stall his development timeline and narrow options for reserve depth.

What to watch: Watch whether Los Angeles keeps Knecht through the remaining preseason schedule.
