What happened: The milestone was confirmed by a press box announcement at Progressive Field, attributed to Jon Morosi. It came with the same Gavin Williams who set Cleveland's postseason mark with five straight strikeouts starting Game 2 in Cleveland.

Why it matters: The outing ends a 25-year gap dating to Bartolo Colon in 2001. Double-digit strikeout games have been rare in club postseason history, putting this start alongside a short list of predecessors.

What to watch: Watch Williams' final line and the Game 2 result for its effect on the series count.
